Kennington roadworks likely to cause disruption.

The A28 Canterbury Road from The M20 Bridge to Penlee Point is to be resurfaced overnight from 7.30pm – 5.00am from 9th until 30th July.

The road will be completely closed between Cemetery Lane and Simone Weil Avenue for two nights at the start of the work (9th/10th July).

The diversion route for this phase will be via A20 Simone Weil Ave / Fougeres Way, A251 Trinity Road, A2042 Faversham Road.

After the initial two nights closure and from the 11th July, the works along Canterbury Road will be completed in phased lane closures using temporary traffic signals to maintain traffic flow.

Bybrook Road will be closed at its junction with the A28 at all times during working hours and re-opened every day. The diversion route will be Bybrook Rd/ The Pasture, A2042 Faversham Rd.

Residents and businesses along Cemetery Lane or Kinneys Lane, will be able to gain access when safe to do so but should liaise with the on-site traffic management operatives for access needs.
